Roux
Little miss Roux found the perfect home right in her own back yard, She has a fur sister and a Mom that love and cherish her. Being a Pitt Bull/Dachshund isn't easy but now she has a family to share her toys with!!
Angel
Angel was in foster for over a year. First her puppies had to be weaned, then she went through heart worm treatment and finally she was spayed. By the time she was ready for adoption, her foster mom was very attached to her and very uncertain if she even wanted Angel to be adopted. But all of that changed with a chance meeting at another organization's adoption day in Covington, La. Angel and her foster mom just went down to visit but Angel caught the eye of one of the volunteers and it turned out to be the best home possible for Angel. The love and commitment of the family convinced Angel's foster mom that THIS WAS THE HOME Angel deserved. Now, Angel has a fur brother, horses to help feed and care for and a family to look out for. And these pictures prove that she is loved and flourishing.
Rose
When we found Rose she had been dumped on a roadside along with her young puppies. Xrays showed that she had been shot in the leg. She was so afraid of people that we had to catch her in a live trap. After being in foster care for a couple of months she came out of her shell with her foster parents but was still wary of strangers. Her fear of strangers made her less appealing to potential adopters so she waited in foster care for 10 months until finally the perfect family came along. A wonderful couple from New Orleans found Rose on our website when they were looking for a companion for their beagle. They fell in love with her and decided to take a chance on a shy dog. Now Rose is living a great life with her new family and her new beagle sister! We receive updates periodically and her family says she is very comfortable in her new home and is slowly getting used to the noise of the city. We couldn't have asked for a better home for Rose and we are truly grateful!
