All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. They have been spay/neutered, micro chipped and crate trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
Ozzie has yet to meet a stranger. He is very playful but loves his naps too. He walks well on a leash and is crate trained. He loves a cozy dog bed for naps inside but would prefer to sleep in the big bed. Ozzie is partially house trained and is working on that, now that he is neutered. He plays well with canine friends from 8 to 80lbs and is in your lap with a quick whistle. He knows commands for sit, stay and come. But his favorite command is "Let's eat" He is very smart and eager to learn. He loves kids but not birds or kitties. He has very good indoor manners but will need a fenced yard to play in. His favorite toys are plush toys, chew bones and tennis balls. He is content to play with them when his foster mom is busy or he tires of his canine friends. Ozzie doesn't care for bad weather that involves thunder and lightening or fireworks. Ozzie was found wandering in a Monroe, La. neighborhood with a traveling companion named Grace who is also available for adoption (see her web page). They are very attached to each other and always play and sleep together. If possible, we would like to adopt them together but it isn't required.
