All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. They have been spay/neutered, micro chipped and crate trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
Ivy is the smartest of all of the puppies we have in foster. It is hard to stay ahead of her, especially on keeping her contained. She stays in a kennel as long as she wants and then she finds a way out. But she loves her crate and is content in it. She loves to fetch and to do anything that will please you. She is going to be a beautiful, shiny black, medium sized girl.
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
The DHS organized in November 2008 to care for the unwanted and neglected animals of Northeastern Louisiana. We are funded only by donations. We ARE making a difference but we still have a LOT to do....
