All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. They have been spay/neutered, micro chipped and crate trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
Abby was culled from a breeder's dogs because she had a little bit of Demodex as a puppy. She is a lovely playful girl. The Demodex is resolving on its own since she has gotten a better diet and less stress. She will make a lovable. eneregetic pet for somone.
The DHS organized in November 2008 to care for the unwanted and neglected animals of Northeastern Louisiana. We are funded only by donations. We ARE making a difference but we still have a LOT to do....
