All of our adoptable pets are housed with foster families. They have been spay/neutered, micro chipped and crate trained. They have all been living in a family environment so have been evaluated for temperament and personality. We believe that we should know each pet well enough to make sure that when adopted, everyone lives happily ever after.
The two puppies in this litter, Tiger and Trouble were dumped near a church. The tiny third puppy wasn't strong enough to survive the time they spent abandoned. Since their foster mom found them, they have become friendly and healthy little balls of energy. They are old enough to go to new homes now and continue enjoying life.
The DHS organized in November 2008 to care for the unwanted and neglected animals of Northeastern Louisiana. We are funded only by donations. We ARE making a difference but we still have a LOT to do....
